Established in Massachusetts in 1837, Lamson is proud to be the oldest cutlery manufacturer in the United States. Our name is synonymous with American artistry and carries with it a distinguished history—in 1869 newly-elected US President Ulysses S. Grant was presented a 62-piece Lamson dinner set at the White House. Pieces of this extraordinary gift remain in the nation's capital on display at the Smithsonian Institution.

Today, our talented artisans still handcraft each piece in western Massachusetts—an extensive selection of elegantly functional products, including laser-cut and forged cutlery, kitchen tools and trade tools. Over the years we have survived major world events, difficult financial times, and even a natural disaster that forced us to relocate from our original factory. Say Hello to "The Little B", the smaller sibling of the "Big Boy" featured on Bon Appetit's It's Alive. This great knife is your answer to it all! "Chop, cut, crush, whatever!" The Little B features a Walnut handle and a 6" blade (the Big Boy is 8"). This may not sound like a big difference, but believe me it is! The "Little B's" 6" blade is just smaller enough for those who don't need a large cleaver/chopper, but still want to be able to do the same things that Brad does.

The Santoku full-tang blade runs the length of the handle, tempered high carbon stainless steel that is Flat Ground for precision and then hand-sharpened and finished for a razor-sharp edge. The shaped and contoured durable Walnut handle is ergonomically designed for safe and comfortable use no matter how you hold your knife, featuring sturdy brass rivet construction.

Hand-wash your cleaver with warm soapy water, dishwasher not recommended. Wood handles need mineral oil applied periodically to prevent drying out. Made by Lamson Products, a Massachusetts Company since 1837.
